Chapter 4

“Hi, my name is Emeline.”

Of course I, ever the gentlemen, stood there staring at the girl with my mouth hanging open. Who wouldn’t when you see a girl who looks like she just came back from a makeover with a goddess?
“Hi. I’m Alex and I have an important question.”

“What?”

“ Do you always glow?”

“What are you talking about you blathering idiot! She isn’t glowing.” Said Mr. Lucifer.

He actually didn’t say it but he can communicate with other people through their minds. That’s the little devil’s EXO. He’ll use it when you talk to other people to see what you are actually thinking. It’s easy to get round though. His mind is like a force that can enter your own consciousness and learn all of your dirty secrets. He usually only goes for your thoughts because it takes a lot more energy to see the person’s past, fears, and memories. It’s also useful for interrogations. My many detentions can prove that.

“ Ummmmm. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t glow.” Emeline said
“Sorry. Working with blowtorches and other very dangerous and bright tools makes you think that everything is glowing.” I replied.
“Nice save Alex. You just saved yourself from 1 week of Mephoria.”
Mephoria is what they use to keep students in check. Mr. L searches your memory for your worst fears then shoves you into a Holo-Room where it makes holographic images of that fear. I swear its the worst thing that can happen to you. People have tried to commit suicide after only 5 minutes in there.
“No! Not Mephoria.” I scream out loud.
“Um. Are you okay... Alex.” Emeline says.
“ Yeah sorry. I guess gas fumes kinda mess you up a little. I’ll see the nurse after your tour.”
“Great. Lets get going.”
“Okay.The first stop on Alex’s Amazing Grand Tour is the building right in front of you. This is Home Building. It has your rooms and the cafeteria in it. The boy’s dorms are on the right and the girl’s dorms are on the left. The cafeteria is straight through these doors in the center. Our cafeteria is state-of-the-art. It is actually more like a restaurant than a regular high school cafeteria. You don’t have to eat here but it is recommended for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is recommended at the park.”
“Wow. This room is bigger than my whole school.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. My school wasn’t the biggest but it was nice.”
“Well our school is huge. It is floating in the sky so we have lots of space.”
“It’s in the sky? I don’t remember flying to get here.”
“Well I hope not. I didn’t make a teleporter that isn’t meant to be used.”
“You made a teleporter?”
“Yeah. I made it when i had a power surge.”
“What’s a power surge?”
“I’m not exactly sure but I do know that our first class tomorrow will be on power surges.”

“Oh. Good. I have no idea about anything that has to do with EXOs. All i know is that I have one and that I know how to use it.”

“Your lucky. I didn’t even know what my EXO was when i got here. Well, until I picked up a hammer.”

This whole conversation was taking place while we were walking towards the Academic Plaza.

“Um Alex.”

“Yes?”

“What is this place?”

“Oh. I’m sorry I got a little sidetracked during our conversation.This is the Academic Plaza. It contains all of the classrooms and other learning facilities not including the GreenHouse, the Pool, and the Sports Arena.”
“Cool. If it’s such a big campus then how do people get around to the different areas?”

“You get used to it. That’s why our Gym class is learning how to use our powers for wars.”

“We do have a work-out area right?”

“Yes. It’s located in the Park. The school is split up in three sections. The Park, The Academic Plaza, and The Home Area. The Park contains many recreational areas such as an area completely dedicated to art and a music hall. It also is where our many sports teams practice and compete.”

“Cool. Are we going there next?”

“Yes. I hate the Academic Plaza. It’s so learney-ey.”

“Learney-ey? That’s not a word.”

“It is now. Now come on let me show you my favorite part of the campus. The Garage.”

Awwwwwwww. Thanks June. I know i'm amazing. I'm sooooo much better than your other "friends". So I just finished the new chapter. Chapter 4!!!!!! Cue the applause..... (cricket, cricket). Yeesh. Tough crowd. So i hope you enjoy the new chapter and June will put it up soon because I don't know how. Hahahahahahahahahaha! ;)

Reasons.....

Chapter 3 was somewhat easy for me to relate too. I have a friend who I meet when I was 3, back then we were the best of friends. When I was 5 I meet a girl who I instantly became best friends with. The girl from when I was 3 was forgotten. My 5 friend and I did everything together, had sleepovers and all that fun stuff. We even said stuff like I wish we were sisters, or a flood came and your house moved next to mine. It's sad because my 3 friend was my next door neighbor. My 5 friend and I were the best of friends, we even overcame going to different schools. But just last year, maybe around Christmas we drifted. I don't know how else to explain it, its simple we drifted. She went for the popular girl life style while I went for the nerd/book worm. We still say Hi and stuff, but we both know its never going to be how it once was. When I am around her I change, into a girl I don't want to become. Its funny because she is going to be moving behind my house, just like I always wanted. It just came to late. Now most of you are wondering about my 3 friend. We became best friends, trying to never talk about Ms.5. But lately things have been different and its hard talking to her, she's turned mean. Though I'd never say that to her. I luv her, in a friend way, but sometimes its hard. Thats were my wish of finding a best friend comes in. A friend who will listen to me, talk about books with stuff like that. And thats were Buggy comes! Thanks for being there for me!

Chapter 3 Scott

Sometimes school can be tough. If your not part of the popular crowd, you feel like an outcast. But when your in the popular crowd you learn its not everything you thought it was. When I was younger I often wondered what the point was coming to school, I knew everything the teacher taught us. The only thing I really did was hide from Hedge, which is kinda disheartening since he is like a giant plant person. That all changed when Alex came. I can't believe it's already been 10 years since that day.

It was a dreary day. The sky was gray, no blue in sight. The type of day when you really don't want to get out of bed. We all have those types of days. The only reason I did get out was because there was lunch, the academy has the best lobster. Alex came during first period, math. I've always liked math but today I just didn't bother. Alex seems like a popular person, he's got the looks. Now don't think like that, I promise I am straight. I was in the back drawing, in truth I was trying to draw a friend. Did I mention what my EXO is? I have the EXO of drawing, which means I can make my drawings come to life. The popular crowd started to make room, everyone expected Alex to join them. Instead, Alex surprised everyone. He walked past the popular crowd, all the way to the back. And me. He sat down and introduced himself. What do I do? If I talk to him I'll ruin his chance of becoming a popular. But..... What if he's the one I've been waiting for? My first real friend. 
"Hello, my name is Scott Bonila. It's nice to meet you." I said to him, offering my hand. To my surprise he grasped my hand and shook it really hard, while saying "Why so formal?". He started to laugh, I began to smile then joined him and started laughing too. The day was suddenly brighter, Alex had gave me a reason to keep going, other then a lobster for lunch. My first and best, best friend.

Sorry it's taken so long to write! We've been so caught up with school and everything! School sometimes sucks! I hate math, Buggy loves it I don't know why. But we both love Literature, because we both love reading!

Chapter 2 Buggy

“Hey guys. Have you heard that we’re getting a new EXO today? Her names Amelia or something,” I said. Hi. My names Alex. I’ve been a student at the EXO academy for two years now and have never been to a war. Thank the Lord. The teachers always say that I’m not ready. Something about my inventions exploding... It doesn’t matter.

“Really? It would be nice to meet another person from this country that isn’t a... what did you call them Alex?” Lin said.

“Um... a jerk?” I replied.
“Yes that is what you called them. A jerk.”
As usual, Scott just sat there eating his lobster. I don’t understand how he could eat the lobster on Mondays. For some reason it tastes worse than the lobster on other days. Even the teachers and professors agree.

“Yeah. So Headmaster Saint said that she would be coming after lunch.”

“Humph” Scott grunted.
Lin looked absolutely ecstatic. For some reason she thought that the new girl was going to be her friend. I don’t know why but most people think that our group is weird. Actually, now that I think about it. If you don’t belong to the “popular” group than you’re not even human. I was thinking about which group the new girl would join and what her EXO would be when a deep, but kind voice called over the intercom for me.
“  Alex Siera, please report to the Headmaster’s Office.”
“Oh great. What am I going to be accused of now? Nearly blowing up the science lab with a flamethrower? Or is it going to be that I froze the gym with an ice machine.”
“I understand that you actually did those things Alex,” Lin said, “I’m pretty sure I remember when you blamed me for the fire.”
“Sorry Lin but you’re so easy to peg anything fire related on considering your EXO.”
“In accordance to my EXO. It is about to singe off your eyebrows.”
I made sure to leave the cafeteria after that threat. Geez. For a foreign girl she got a mean snap. Unless she’s talking to a teacher. Then she is the greatest Chinese angel you’ll ever see.
When I got to the office I saw that Hedge finally got caught in the act of bullying somebody. Hedge’s EXO is that he can control plants and the like. At night he is actually pretty weak, but in the afternoon he is the most powerful tulip in the world.
Bullying is a major thing at this academy. It used to be really hard and mean here. Now they take the completely opposite approach. They try to be nice so that we don’t have to trap anyone in a crystal capable of surviving a million nukes dropped on it at once again. I wonder how they even got someone trapped in a crystal anyway.
Headmaster Saint simply told me that I was going to show the new girl around. This isn’t anything new. I usually introduce new EXO’s to the academy and show them around. But little did I know that this person was so dang awesome. I walked outside and saw the limo come right outside of the academy. Mr. Lucifer walked out first and then helped out an angel out of the car. I mean what I say when I say angel. This girl literally glowed.
“Alex, this is the new EXO. Do you want to show him your EXO dear?”
“Why not.” the girl said.
She closed her eyes and suddenly the whole school turned off. Then everything came on again. I just looked at her in awe.
“Hi. I’m Emaline.”
